And its high resistance to current flowing in the reverse direction suddenly drops to a low resistance when the reverse voltage across the diode reaches a value called the breakdown voltage. For instance, a diode's forward-direction voltage drop varies only a little with the current, and is more so a function of temperature this effect can be used as a temperature sensor or as a voltage reference. However, diodes can have more complicated behavior than this simple on–off action, because of their nonlinear current-voltage characteristics. As rectifiers, diodes can be used for such tasks as extracting modulation from radio signals in radio receivers. This unidirectional behavior is called rectification and is used to convert alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC). As such, the diode can be viewed as an electronic version of a check valve. The most common function of a diode is to allow an electric current to pass in one direction (called the diode's forward direction), while blocking it in the opposite direction (the reverse direction). A common variant of a diode is a light-emitting diode, which is used as electric lighting and status indicators on electronic devices. The obsolete thermionic diode is a vacuum tube with two electrodes, a heated cathode and a plate, in which electrons can flow in only one direction, from cathode to plate.Īmong many uses, diodes are found in rectifiers to convert alternating current (AC) power to direct current (DC), demodulation in radio receivers, and can even be used for logic or as temperature sensors. Today, most diodes are made of silicon, but other semiconducting materials such as gallium arsenide and germanium are also used. The discovery of asymmetric electrical conduction across the contact between a crystalline mineral and a metal was made by German physicist Ferdinand Braun in 1874. Semiconductor diodes were the first semiconductor electronic devices. It has an exponential current–voltage characteristic. It has low (ideally zero) resistance in one direction, and high (ideally infinite) resistance in the other.Ī semiconductor diode, the most commonly used type today, is a crystalline piece of semiconductor material with a p–n junction connected to two electrical terminals. ![]() The filament itself may be the cathode, or more commonly (as shown here) used to heat a separate metal tube which serves as the cathode.Ī diode is a two- terminal electronic component that conducts current primarily in one direction (asymmetric conductance).

The following technique leverages an XML external entity ( XXE) vulnerability to trigger a DNS lookup. To do this, you will need to use Burp Collaborator to generate a unique Burp Collaborator subdomain that you will use in your attack, and then poll the Collaborator server to confirm that a DNS lookup occurred. You can cause the database to perform a DNS lookup to an external domain. SELECT IF(YOUR-CONDITION-HERE,SLEEP(10),'a') SELECT CASE WHEN (YOUR-CONDITION-HERE) THEN pg_sleep(10) ELSE pg_sleep(0) END IF (YOUR-CONDITION-HERE) WAITFOR DELAY '0:0:10' SELECT CASE WHEN (YOUR-CONDITION-HERE) THEN 'a'||dbms_pipe.receive_message(('a'),10) ELSE NULL END FROM dual You can test a single boolean condition and trigger a time delay if the condition is true. The following will cause an unconditional time delay of 10 seconds. You can cause a time delay in the database when the query is processed. ![]() However, this is occasionally possible if the target application uses certain PHP or Python APIs to communicate with a MySQL database. With MySQL, batched queries typically cannot be used for SQL injection. Hence this technique is primarily of use in relation to blind vulnerabilities where you can use a second query to trigger a DNS lookup, conditional error, or time delay. Note that while the subsequent queries are executed, the results are not returned to the application. You can use batched queries to execute multiple queries in succession. SELECT * FROM information_lumns WHERE table_name = 'TABLE-NAME-HERE' SELECT * FROM all_tab_columns WHERE table_name = 'TABLE-NAME-HERE' You can list the tables that exist in the database, and the columns that those tables contain. This information is useful when formulating more complicated attacks. You can query the database to determine its type and version. ![]() Equipped with a rugged shaft-driven 4WD drivetrain and waterproof electronics, this edition of the torment can tear through turf in even the most brutal conditions. The 1/18-scale Torment SCT won’t back down from taking on rough terrain or the trials and tribulations of the most brutal drivers. Whether you’re new to RC driving or just want a rig that can handle just about anything thrown at it, the Torment comes ready to go the distance. No matter its competition, this unbeatable SCT stands apart for its unbeatable value, durability and no-nonsense approach to hitting the pavement. It won't handle as good on road, but you'r diff problem will be gone. The ECX Torment SCT has been a standout among the world of RC bashing ever since it was introduced. If your mostly planning on running yours in grass and hard off road conditions, I would suggest locking your diffs with jb weld which could be had for around $7. IF you factor in compensation for one's time, your pushing close to the original price of these rc's, sadly to say. ThanksIt would cost upwards of $70 just for two new diffs, two sets of duratrax diff gears, shims, and shipping. Is there anybody who would be happy to shim a new set of diffs for me (or even put in the mini quake diff gears to a new bulkhead if they are of better quality), I'm happy to pay for all the parts and your time, plus shipping the parts to you and then to me. I just realised that the Duratrax mini quake diff gears are not metal, and I presume the benefits are that one doesn't need to purchase the entire diff bulkhead. I got an ECX Ruckus for Christmas and was very sad to discover I stripped both diffs after running it through grass and doing other silly things on full throttle. They are foam filled and a lot softer than the stock tires. Wont let me post a link but amazon and > /gp/product/B00KQG46VM ![]() Oh and I switched the tires to these for $12 I could take some pics if it helps, mine is taken apart. Small screwdriver and a good light with a little patience is all it takes. Any more info on what you had to do to make them work? Hope to get this ruckus running good enough to pass on to my wife and get a big ruckus or maybe a slash. My son was like "OMG dad why's your car so fast!"Īnyway, I ordered the gears vicious suggested. Damn lipo 2s packs made it a rocket but killed it. I got the diffs shimmed and the problem went away but eventually the axle outdrives rounded out. As you can expect I blew out a diff after a few packs through it. I got my boys each an ECX AMP MT and my wife surprised me with a mini ruckus (because the amp mt was sold out). Been following this thread since Christmas and am thankful for all the info you guys have posted. I'll try to get some pictures up when I get a chance. The gears are abundant since their used in the Himoto 1/18's, Redcat Volcano 18, maverick ions, and hobbyking cars, but I would stick with the Duratrax versions as long as their available. Worst case scenario, I strip the gears, and replace them for a few bucks, instead of having to purchase the whole stock bulkhead for $15. I know their not metal gears, but I think its safe to say that this gear swap is the best solution to the 1/18 ecx diff problems. The power transfer feels really solid, the diff internal mesh seems really good, I used one shim in the rear diff, front diff was good to go, may need to shim it eventually. The setup is a quicrun 30a esc, turnigy 4600kv motor, and 13t pinion. The chrome coating on the rims seem kind of cheep, the chrome peeled off on a small spot where the tire was glued down, I just glued down the spot and so far it is holding.I've ran about five 2200mah 3s packs through my torment so far, with the duratrax diff gears, and outdrives. I managed to get one pack through the Ruckus on those tires, even with the Ruckus converted to 2wd while I wait for a diff, they grip way better than the stock tires. |
